Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Unfabled working with E-Pharmacy?

79% of girls and young women have experienced symptoms linked to their period that concerned them but haven’t seen a doctor. More than a quarter of those surveyed said they hadn’t spoken to a healthcare professional about their concerns because they had felt too embarrassed. When it comes to hormonal health, Unfabled is on a mission to cater to everyone’s needs and remove the barriers to care that people with periods often face. While we offer natural, functional products on our platform, we know that there are instances when members of our community are in need of pharmaceutical support for their symptoms. By partnering with e-pharmacy, we’re able to support our community with all of their needs, and are one step closer to bridging the gender health gap by providing easy, quick access to clinical support.

Is it legal?

Buying medication online via E-Pharmacy is 100% legal. We only sell genuine UK medication. We are regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, this is the same regulatory body for Brick-and-Mortar Pharmacies. You can check out more about our licence by clicking on the GPHC logo in the website footer.

How do I know that I am receiving legitimate medication?

We use the same wholesalers that supply your local NHS pharmacy. We only sell legitimate medication and our system follow the Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD). This means we check the anti-tampering security on packaging when we order in medication and we track the unique identifier like a barcodes against a national system. When buying medication online always look for the General Pharmaceutical Logo on the bottom of each page you visit. You can find this in our pop-up in the footer. This ensures that the website is a registered online pharmacy operating legally. E-Pharmacy’s registered pharmacy number is 9010968.

Are there age restrictions?

Our service is only available to people over the age of 18. This is a legal restriction set by our regulatory body to keep minors safe. Some medications that we sell also have an upper age limit.

As we run as an online service and do not see our patients in person, we need to validate that you are over the age of 18 with a quick check using your name, date of birth and address against national databases like the electoral roll.

Do you offer Refunds?

Refunds if you change your mind

We cannot offer refunds on medication once they have been dispensed by a Pharmacist and despatched to you. This is because the medication is classed as a personalised good, which includes the fee for a private prescription issued by one of our prescribers. We cannot reuse medication returned to us and these have to be destroyed in a safe manner.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns if you have changed your mind. This is for safety reasons as we will not be able to re-sell returned medication.

Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste, please take medication to your local pharmacy and they will dispose of the products safely.

Refunds on faulty items

In the unlikely event that a medication has been delivered faulty or has been damaged via transit, we are happy to issue a replacement upon receipt of the item.

Refunds for other reasons

Refunds may also be issued for the following reasons

  • We have been unable to verify your ID (see our terms and conditions)
  • A prescriber has deemed the medication you ordered is unsafe for you based on answers from your health questionnaire
  • You have cancelled your order with us before it has been dispensed by our pharmacy team.

Transforming Healthcare

Only 36% of the UK Population are actually satisfied with their GP service.

Our NHS is currently suffering from staff shortages, budget cuts of £330 million, impossible wait times for non-urgent health issues, massive appointment backlogs, fax machines, and the ongoing impact of a pandemic. All of this means individual patients are suffering. People are being pushed to manage their own health and the internet can be fairly dangerous.

E-Pharmacy is a fully regulated alternative. We’re on a mission to support 10,000,000 patients and provide people with a safe, affordable, and accessible option that puts them back in control of their health.
